Scholarships

Current Program Applies to School Year 2026/2027

Scholarship awarded spring 2027.

Castle Rock Artist Alliance has created an Art Scholarship Program for graduating students who plan to continue studying visual arts in preparation for a career in visual arts. CRAA is a local 501c3 nonprofit organization that supports local artists and the art community with programs such as Veterans and First Responders Art Therapy, Castle Rock Film Festival, and now, the Art Scholarship Program for local high school students. CRAA is excited to work with and offer this scholarship program to these students.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Reside in Douglas County

Receive a diploma from Douglas County High School or Castle View High School.

Be planning for a career in a visual arts related field (fine art, commercial art, art education).

Complete application and requirements for jury.

Additional Important Scholarship Info

Castle Rock Art Scholarships will be awarded to the winners in spring 2027, date TBD. More information regarding time, place, etc. will be available at a later date. 

Scholarship winners must provide a final confirmation of visual art career and a copy of the student schedule which includes:

  • Collegiate institution
  • Student ID
  • Course schedule with specific course number, title, and description pertaining to visual art coursework for either fall or spring 2027/2028 semester must be provided to CRAA Scholarship Chair via email: janaprice@gmail.com
  • Students will not be eligible to receive funding without this formal documentation from the college or university and must be requested within one year of award date to remain valid.
  • Provide this documentation in PDF format at least 15 days prior to the college’s Tuition due date via email to CRAA Scholarship Chair: janaprice@gmail.com
